Nestled in Amsterdam, Nebius Group has taken a monumental leap forward in the AI infrastructure domain by securing a massive $17.4 billion multi-year deal with tech giant Microsoft. This agreement, which could potentially grow to $19.4 billion depending on Microsoft’s demand, marks a pivotal moment for Nebius and underscores the escalating global demand for high-performance AI computing infrastructure.
Founded from the spin-off of Russian tech giant Yandex 27s assets, Nebius specializes in providing graphics processing units (GPUs) essential for training and running advanced artificial intelligence models. Operating with a cutting-edge full-stack AI cloud platform designed in-house, the company equips AI developers with the necessary compute power, storage, and managed services.
Starting later this year, Nebius will supply Microsoft with dedicated GPU infrastructure from their new data center in Vineland, New Jersey, enhancing Microsoft’s capacity to meet soaring client needs for generative AI technologies.
The deal’s announcement sent Nebius’ shares soaring by nearly 55%, reflecting high investor confidence. The agreement not only provides substantial economic benefits but is also expected to accelerate Nebius 27s AI cloud business growth significantly into 2026 and beyond.
Arkady Volozh, CEO of Nebius, expressed optimism about the deal, highlighting its role in fueling the company 27s expansion and signaling more long-term contracts with leading AI labs and tech companies on the horizon.
